One Police Plaza Auditorium
Wow!
What a great day that was.
There
were well over 600 in attendance at our ceremony with over 200 people attending
the luncheon immediately following the ceremony and nothing but accolades for a
job well done.
The following are only a few of the accolades & comments that were made...
NICE
TO SEE THE OLDTIMERS HONORED BY THE NYPD Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly.
Member Bill Burns, WW II
Just
a note to thank you for honoring me at the Navy Day Memorial celebration. I
thought that everything about the ceremony was first class and the committee
deserves a great deal of credit for putting it all together. My son Jim,
Captain, NYPD had never attended before and was quite impressed. My wife really
liked the "Lone Sailor Award". It is on display prominently in our
living room. Again many thanks, keep up the good work.
Sincerely, Jim Meehan
How
do I begin to thank you for what you did for us on Navy Day. I fell like I was
in another world, the Navy sure knows how to do things the right way. You made
John and I very happy when you chose us to toll the bell in Kenny's Memory. I
know he was there that day smiling from ear to ear.
Sincerely,
Judy and John Hansen
Congratulations
on a job well done! Careful planning paid off and as we saw it went smoothly and
was most successful. Thanks for coordinating with Mr. Murphy to have him on
board. His display of the Medal of Honor was something beyond unique. No
one or any other group could top that presentation. It was tastefully and
respectfully presented and the lighting was just right. Thanks again for a job
well done.
